Jon Sundt - President & CEO

Jon Sundt has more than 23 years of experience in the alternative investment industry. As a founder of the Altegris Companies and CEO of Altegris Investments, he leads a team of more than 60 professionals dedicated to providing investors access to some of the world’s leading alternative investment managers. Altegris clients include independent wealth advisors, institutional and high net worth investors, and family offices, with over $2.4 billion in trading level allocated to the products on the Altegris platform.

Mr. Sundt began his career as an options trader in 1986. Prior to co-founding Altegris, Mr. Sundt served six years as Director of Managed Accounts and Senior Vice President of the Managed Investments Division of Man Financial, a subsidiary of the Man Group – the world’s largest hedge fund provider, based in London and listed on the FTSE 100. An expert in managed futures and alternative investment strategies, Mr. Sundt is widely quoted by leading financial media, such as CNBC and Business Week, and a variety of industry publications.

Mr. Sundt also serves as president of APM Funds, an Altegris company that serves as General Partner to a select group of hedge funds and commodity pools, providing premier alternative investments to wealth managers and high net worth investors.

In his leadership role for the Altegris Companies, Mr. Sundt also champions the development of leading-edge productivity tools for wealth advisors and investors, applying the skills he gained while studying computer science and economics at the University of California, San Diego.

Mr. Sundt is an active member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and Vistage International. He is also the Founder and President of the Sundt Memorial Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to preventing substance abuse among today’s youth. Mr. Sundt actively participates in the Vistage Chief Executive Coaching Program, an organization and program designed to enable business leaders to gain fresh perspectives, test ideas, overcome obstacles and seize opportunities to generate results.

Mr. Sundt is also a member of the Altegris Investment Committee, responsible for qualification, approval and on-going review of all investment strategies and managers on the Altegris platform.

Robert Amedeo - Executive Vice President, Business Development

Robert Amedeo brings over 30 years of legal expertise in the financial industry to his role as head of Business Development for Altegris Investments.

Mr. Amedeo began his career at the SEC, serving in the Division of Enforcement. He then joined a Chicago law firm Abramson & Fox where he specialized in securities and commodities law. He was made partner and later served the firm as "Of Counsel". In 1985, Mr. Amedeo founded Rockwell Futures Management, Inc., now APM Funds. He acted as President of Rockwell Futures Management Inc. and its affiliate Rockwell Investments, Inc. (now Altegris Investments) until July 2002 when he cofounded the Altegris Companies.

Mr. Amedeo is the past chairman of an advisory committee to the North American Association of Securities Administrators (NAASA). He has acted as a member of the NFA Hearing Committee and is currently the Chairman of its CPO/CTA Advisory Committee.

Mr. Amedeo is a 1975 graduate of Northwestern University and received a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University in 1978.

Mr. Amedeo is a managing member of Altegris Capital and currently serves as a Director and Vice President of APM Funds. He is also a member of the Altegris Investment Committee, responsible for qualification, approval and on-going review of all investment strategies and managers on the Altegris platform.

Matthew Osborne - Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer

As Chief Investment Officer, Altegris Investments, Matthew C. Osborne brings more than 20 years of international business and financial market experience to his role in directing the managed futures division as well as related business development and the strategic direction of the firm.

Prior to co-founding Altegris, Mr. Osborne was Director of Research for the Managed Investments Division of Man Financial. Mr. Osborne had a 12-year career with a preeminent family office in his native New Zealand. In his role as Investment Manager, he was responsible for formulating investment policies and implementing a global asset allocation program that specialized in alternative investment strategies such as hedge funds and managed futures. He also gained significant trading expertise in foreign currencies, stocks, fixed income, global futures and options. In his role as Corporate Treasurer for the family's manufacturing company, he was responsible for risk management in interest rates and foreign currencies as well as debt portfolio management.

Mr. Osborne actively participates in the Vistage Key Executives Business Coaching Program, a 14,500+ member organization that serves as the world’s foremost executive leadership association.

Mr. Osborne is a managing member of Altegris Capital and serves as a Director and Vice President of APM Funds. He is also a member of the Altegris Investment Committee, responsible for qualification, approval and on-going review of all investment strategies and managers on the Altegris platform.

Dick Pfister, CAIA - Executive Vice President, Institutional Research and Sales

Dick Pfister, CAIA™, utilizes over 16 years of alternative investment expertise in his role at Altegris, where he leads the client services groups in providing suitable alternative investment options to institutional investors, family offices.

Mr. Pfister began his career on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange as a technical analyst and trader. After trading in the currency and stock index futures markets for several years, he managed the Global Macro CTA Trade Desk for Dean Witter Reynolds. Later, he joined Man Financial, leading the growth of International Traders Research Inc. (now a member of the Altegris Companies) to its preeminent role of providing dedicated managed futures data services. In June 1998, Mr. Pfister was appointed Institutional Research Executive at the Man Financial Managed Investments Division, a role he held until joining Altegris in 2002.

Mr. Pfister is an inaugural member of Chartered Alternative Investment Association and earned the first-ever Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) designation in September 2003. The CAIA is a specific designation that distinguishes individuals who are best qualified in dealing with alternative investments. Mr. Pfister actively participates in the Vistage Key Executives Business Coaching Program, a 14,500+ member organization that serves as world’s foremost executive leadership association.

Mr. Pfister graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance in July 1993.

Mr. Pfister is a managing member of Altegris Capital and serves as a Director and Vice President of APM Funds. He is also a member of the Altegris Investment Committee, responsible for qualification, approval and on-going review of all investment strategies and managers on the Altegris platform.

Alternative investment products, including hedge funds and managed futures, involve a high degree of risk, often engage in leveraging and other speculative investment practices that may increase the risk of investment loss, can be highly illiquid, are not required to provide periodic pricing or valuation information to investors, may involve complex tax structures and delays in distributing important tax information, are not subject to the same regulatory requirements as mutual funds, often charge high fees which may offset any trading profits, and in many cases the underlying investments are not transparent and are known only to the investment manager. Alternative investment performance can be volatile. An investor could lose all or a substantial amount of his or her investment. Often, alternative investment fund and account managers have total trading authority over their funds or accounts; the use of a single advisor applying generally similar trading programs could mean lack of diversification and, consequently, higher risk. There is often no secondary market for an investor's interest in alternative investments, and none is expected to develop. There may be restrictions on transferring interests in any alternative investment. Alternative investment products often execute a substantial portion of their trades on non-U.S. exchanges. Investing in foreign markets may entail risks that differ from those associated with investments in U.S. markets. Altegris, a FINRA and NFA member, offers various alternative investments, including hedge funds, futures funds and managed futures and commodities accounts, that may operate in commodities markets and foreign markets, among others. In working with clients, Altegris acts in its capacity as an SEC-registered Broker-Dealer and/or as a CFTC-registered Introducing Broker and CTA. Although Altegris may give securities-related advice that is incidental to its securities brokerage services, it is not an Investment Adviser. When acting as an Introducing Broker for individually managed accounts, Altegris receives a portion of the commodity brokerage commissions you pay in connection with your futures trading and/or a portion of the interest income (if any) earned on an account's assets. CTAs may also pay Altegris a portion of the fees they receive from accounts introduced to them by Altegris. When acting as a Broker-Dealer, Altegris enters into selling agreements with hedge funds and futures funds that it offers (including funds sponsored by affiliates), pursuant to which Altegris, with respect to the interests it sells, is paid a portion of the management and/or performance fees charged by the funds or their managers in respect of those interests. Altegris may also provide ongoing managed futures consulting services to its clients for a monthly service charge pursuant to individual managed account consulting arrangements.
